We had a blast this last weekend. Matt did a workshop from this last Monday to Thursday at UCLA. He loved it and felt like he gained a lot of knowledge from taking the course. He had these little pieces of wax he had to carve and he was the best at it out of all of the students. While he was in class Taylor and I wandered around the UCLA campus on Wednesday for a about 2-1/2 hours. I really enjoyed it. The buildings are beautiful! They have a botanical garden that Taylor and I walked around in for 40 minutes. Taylor loved the turtles that were in this little stream in the middle of the garden. Later Taylor and I went to the cafeteria to eat lunch. We were surrounded by lots of people. I thought to myself how cool it was to be around so many intelligent people at one time who are all going to be doctors. Then Lindsey and Ella picked Taylor and I up. We drove back to Lindsey apartment but not before we had to stop and get Burger King for the hungry crying girls. Matt soon met up with us after class. We decided to stay with them after their nice offer to have us so that we could save time and money in gas. It was taking Matt 4 hours to drive to UCLA and 4 hours back. SO he drove 8 hours every day for 2 days. Once we decided to stay with the Scott's in Rancho Cucamonga Matt only had to drive 2 hours to UCLA and 2 hours back. We had tons of fun. We had BBQ's,went swimming, went shopping and just had good conversation. It was 106 degrees while we were there! Taylor absolutely loves the pool. She likes to jump into our arms into the pool. Ella is teaching Taylor sign language and we hope she picks up on it soon. We had so much fun visiting with Lindsey, Jordan and Ella and were sad to leave but happy that we'll see them next weekend, as Matt has another class at UCLA making dentures, etc.
