DAT Score

So a big burden has been lifted from Matt and my shoulders today, he took the DAT and received a 19 which is pretty good. Gooo Matt! For reading comprehension he scored a 30, which is a perfect score. I wonder how many people score 30's on the DAT, I don't think it's very often. We applied to dental school today but think our chances of getting in this year are slim because we are applying sooooo late in the process. However, we were orginally planning on applying next year so if we get in we are ahead of schedule. I never realized how much work it is to apply to dental school, talk about time consuming. As for me, I am feeling really sick again, so I think I am having another girl, which I am thrilled about. I want a little sister for Taylor. Besides, everyone I know has stolen my boy name, Wyatt, and I can't bear to name my son that now. So I need a couple more years to have a good boy name come to me again. Taylor is officially in nursery and does really well. It probably helps that I am the nursery leader. :) She only gets jealous once in a while when I am holding another kid, but it's good practice for her when this next one comes along. She is also in an art class and loves it. She has a dance class as well, but I don't like it as much. Today she has a fever of 102. It amazes me how kids can be soo sick and soo happy at the same time. I think I am getting what she has and mixed with my pregnancy I am super mean. I could learn a few things from Taylor. Taylor has within this last week became afraid of the dark, so we now put a night light in with her and she has been much better. Before that I was crawling in her bed with her to sleep. :) Well that's our update for now, sorry so long.

Good job Matt! Best of luck with the applications - I'll tell you it is a huge relief once you get accepted somewhere, but until then hang in there; it will be worth the effort/sacrafice.

Mari, Taylor is soooooo beautiful!! And you don't want to name your son Wyatt anyway...every time I think of Wyatt, I think "Wyatt Earp" for some reason.

your little girl is so cute!
i totally know what you mean about the dat and dental school applications being just a little stressful, this is joey's second year applying so we are hoping for better news this year--by the way, i hear most schools really take into consideration if a person applies multiple times, so it's probably a really good thing that matt is applying this time too!
sorry to hear that you are feeling sick, i look forward to hearing if you are having a boy or girl!

Dev got a 20 overall and a 22 on perceptual ability. I'm not sure what the break down of the scores were. You never know, maybe he will get an interview. It is pretty late though. If not, he will totally get in next year~!

Ah glad the DAT is finally over! 19 is a good score, I guess the national average is 17. I'm glad we're not applying for schools anymore, that was awful and expensive. Good luck to y'all!
